A MESSAGE FROM SUE, A MAHJONG PLAYER
My thoughts on bag size for MahJongg tiles
I think a single set of tiles fits really well into the SueBee and Flatie Jr. bag; the SueBee is a bit roomier that the Flatie Jr. There is still room to “squish out” the bag for putting into Totester or other larger MahJongg bag. I didn’t think I’d like the flat bottom bag, but I do! I am testing the bags with the playing set of 152 American MahJongg tiles, not including extra flowers, seasons, jokers, and blank tiles that often come with the 166 count American tile sets. Chinese sets have 144 tiles (no jokers). MahJongg trivia you probably don’t need...
The Flatie would hold 4 sets of tiles (Imperial Siamese MahJongg) and still have a little room. With a double set, you can easily flatten out the bag to fit in a larger MahJongg bag.
Thanks again for my gorgeous bags!
PLAYING SIAMESE MAHJONG? SUE SAYS:
This falls into the more stuff you never knew you needed to know (but probably don’t) about bags for Royale Siamese Mah Jongg tiles.
Royal Siamese is for 3 or 4 players using two sets of tiles. I don’t know how many of your customers are looking for this type of storage. If you also have racks to store in the Tote-ster, the tiles should go in the bottom since they are heavy and racks can be fragile. Anyway…
The two sets of tiles (304 tiles) can go into
2 large Zinis
2 regular Sue-Bees
2 Flatie Jrs
1 Racker (smush out to lie flat in Tote-ster)
1 Flatie (but will have a lot of room left, could actually store 4 sets of tiles for Imperial Siamese)
